The Layers panel now lets you rename, group, and hide elements. Scenes with lots of overlapping parts are a lot easier to manage.
What's included:
- Rename any layer by double-clicking it (actors keep their display name)
- Lock rework: locked layers freeze position and size only. Text and properties are still editable through the panel.
- Group nesting: group related layers into collapsible sections. Click the header to select all, or drag layers in and out.
- Hide/show: toggle any layer's canvas visibility without deleting it
- Spotlight contrast: non-spotlit elements dim to 10% opacity for easier focus
What this means for you:
- Scenes with many overlapping elements are easier to navigate and edit
- Locking a layer no longer blocks you from fixing a typo
- Templates with named, grouped layers are faster to reuse and update
